In keeping with Camp’s egalitarian values, a $75 fee, per camper, will be assessed to cover shuk (canteen), a cabin photo, Summer 2017 Camp T-shirt, and trip day.
Fund for Excellence
$275 will be added to each family’s account as an annual, voluntary, tax-deductible donation to the Camp JRF Fund for Excellence. As we continue to grow, we rely on the generosity of our Camp families to help us “raise the bar” so we can offer the most creative, innovative, and engaging programs. The Fund for Excellence allows us to do just that – to provide more of the high quality programming that has made us one of the “Top 10 Jewish Camps.”
Families who pay all tuition (after the initial deposit) by check will receive a $100 discount per family.
Families with more than one camper may take $100 off tuition as a sibling discount for each camper after the first.
Families who are not members of a congregation affiliated with the Jewish Reconstructionist Communities pay an additional $300 annual fee.
For campers who are not flying or being driven to Camp, bus service from Newark Airport, Long Island, and Bethesda (Maryland) will be provided at a cost of $125 each way (subject to sufficient enrollment).
For applications cancelled before January 31, 2017, all payments, except the $750 deposit per session, will be refunded. For cancellations between February 1, 2017 and April 30, 2017, the family will be responsible for 25% of the total Camp fees. For cancellations received after May 1, 2017, the family will be responsible for 100% of Camp fees.
AMSkier’s Peace of Mind provides parents with a refund of tuition if their camper is sick or injured and is unable to attend camp. In addition, there is coverage if the camper leaves camp early or if there is a death in the family. This policy has various limits and options available, including coverage for baggage and personal effects. In order to get the Cancel-for-any-Reason option, the coverage must be purchased within two weeks of making your initial deposit. Our goal is that no camper is turned away from Camp for financial reasons.
Through incentive grants for first-time campers and generous scholarships for those who need, we strive to make Camp financially accessible to all camper families.
